Wisconsin teen, the first woman to win the Championship Compound Young Adult title in Las Vegas, joins the Carbon Express professional shooting team

SUPERIOR, Wis. — October, 2026 — Carbon Express is proud to announce that Chloe Nelsen, the 2026 Vegas Shoot Championship Compound Young Adult champion, has joined its professional shooting team.

At 16, Nelsen made history at the 60th anniversary Vegas Shoot, becoming the first woman to win the Championship Compound Young Adult division. In her first year shooting the Championship division, the Wisconsin archer beat three men in the shootdown. The win came about two months after she took the Youth Female Open title at the Lancaster Archery Classic.

Nelsen started shooting at age 9 and credits her father, Andy, for his dedication and influence on her path. Her résumé includes a 900 at the Rushmore Rumble, where she won the Young Adult title, and 120 Xs at Indoor Nationals.

"Chloe Nelsen is an amazing shooter, and we're thrilled to welcome her to the Carbon Express family. Chloe shot Maxima XLs during the ASA season this past year with outstanding results, and she set a world record at JOAD Nationals with the Nano Pro RZ. Signing the next great star in women's compound archery was a no-brainer."

— Erik Bramble, Pro Staff Manager, Carbon Express

Nelsen will shoot Carbon Express arrows throughout the 2027 season, including Indoor Nationals, the ASA tour and the 2027 Vegas Shoot. Follow Chloe on social media at @chloe_nelsen_archery.
