Max refers to the style of wrist strap used. Max straps feature the TruFire-patented Buckle Foldback design as well as an additional layer of padding inside the strap for extreme shooting comfort.
Extreme refers to the style wrist strap used. The Extreme strap is a brushed fabric rather than leather.

Each model release is different. The Edge lineup has a maximum of 1” for the length adjustment, while the Smoke & Spark lineup have a maximum adjustment of 2”.
