The metal injection molded Lit lighted nock system creates an audible click when properly secured to the crossbow’s string. The super-bright LED system is initiated by the forward movement created by the strings forward movement to engage Nockturnal’s patented crossbow string-activated linear switch with piston-driven assembly. These lighted nocks are exceptionally reliable and do not require any specific tools to set up and come factory-installed in the shafts. Side illumination ports on the nock’s body allow for additional light dispersion and increased “tracking” as the nock moves. With more than 20 hours of lithium-powered battery life the extended burn time grants plenty of opportunity for reuse and easy identification long after the shot.

First of all, like most things, these were hard to find. Actually had to search the net, and found them on Amazon. Light could be a little brighter for daytime shots. My biggest disappointment is that the light comes on as soon as you nock the bolt. I bought 2 of the 3 packs, and used one from each pack. As soon as you nock onto the string, they light up. Not a big deal as far as being seen. The bolt is inside the block and I dont worry about it attracting attention. My concern is the battery life. If this thing is going be on constantly, I dont see them lasting a full season. That is ofcourse if I don't tag out early. overall these are the only option, so not like we have a choice. But I think the switch should could be made a little shorter, so it doesnt come on when nocked.
